Vox Pilotus is a new name in the aviation training industry, however the background of the owner of Vox Pilotus dates back to the very first days of online aviation training when online aviation training for pilots and cabin crew was approved by ICAO. Martin shares his story below.

“I was hired (under contract) to narrate the training scripts for a new company developing aviation training courses back in 2006. Given that I was a licensed pilot, had taught ground school, and held an advanced post-secondary education diploma, my addition to the team brought the staff to the huge number of four. There was the owner, a software developer, a graphic artist, and myself. As time progressed, I edited and proofread the scripts, before and sometimes during the recordings. For example, OAT and OTA are very different acronyms and can cause confusion.
I later was asked to develop courses for them that included B737 limitations, A320 and A340 limitations, a B737 systems overview, IFR radio communications, aeronautical navigation basics, HWO, LVP, CWO, SAFA, to name a few. Today that company is one of the largest players in the aviation online training industry, and I’m proud of my input in making aviation all that much safer.”
Martin continued discussing his aviation training background;
“Interestingly, three years prior in 2003, I was asked by a foreign ALPA to develop a commercial pilot aviation English course in preparation of the language proficiency requirements in article 33 of the Chicago Convention. I developed a 52-hour course that took into consideration many factors above the basic aviation jargon. The course even included a section on slang used in the industry.
There were proficiency prerequisites to this course, and when they completed those, the overall training syllabus was sufficient to improve the required comprehension and knowledge of the pilots to pass the ALPD. This course was adopted by the country’s CAA and used to train over 2 500 ATPL pilots.”
You’re in good company, when there’s experience behind it.
